Today, my blog share is:
1. My video blog (vlog) explores the Single Arm-Single Leg Cable Push Exercise
2. CHEK Advanced Training Program Completions
3. A GREAT interview with Mike Salemi, Breaking the National Record in Kettlebell Sport
4. Show-N-Tell with Paul: Cathy Carr’s latest painting, a review on a great DVD, and highlights of my week.
Single Arm-Single Leg Cable Push Exercise
Today I share an exercise I developed many years ago that is effective for integrating the extremities and core.
The Single Arm-Single Leg (SASL) cable push isn’t an ideal exercise for those that don’t have functional access to their inner-unit (core) stabilizers, but IS a great exercise for those that do and want to improve overall integration.
As I share in the video, this IS NOT an exercise to try and be a superhero with without adequate time in development, or the exercise will serve to magnify dis-integration instead of being a useful integration method.
I hope you enjoy exploring the SASL Cable Push with me in my video blog, and on your own.
CHEK Advanced Training Program Completions
CHEK Practitioner Level 1, FL with Dan Hellman
Congratulations to all the students who successfully completed CHEK Practitioner Level 1 with CHEK Institute Instructor Dan Hellman in Florida.
I am sure that you all enjoyed Dan’s wealth of knowledge and teaching skill! It is my hope that by applying this level of training, your new skills will help others you work with advance toward better movement integration.
A GREAT interview with Mike Salemi, Breaking the National Record in Kettlebell Sport
I’ve featured Mike Salemi many times on my blog, so I suspect that some of you are familiar with this amazing athlete.
Mike and I worked closely together for over two years to rehabilitate him from a compartment syndrome in one of his forearms from intensive Kettlebell training.
We also went deep into developing a Kettlebell lifting style that worked for his unique needs, mastering 4-Doctor self-management, and exploring ways to maximize his athletic performance while also being a busy business man.
With a tremendous amount of hard work, discipline, and commitment to his sport, and goals, Mike recently broke the National record in Russian Kettlebell sport, and is only 2 reps away from gaining his Russian Masters qualification in the 40 Kg class.
Nick Horowski DPT, CHEK HLC3 & CP2, interviewed Mike for his Barenaked Health Podcast, and the interview is fantastic.
Mike shares many aspects of his life journey, several of the key concepts he learned coaching with me and how he applies them, and some of his favorite foods too!
If you are an aspiring athlete, or someone wanting to be inspired to better manages yourself and achieves your personal dreams, this interview is full of gems for you.

Show-N-Tell with Paul
I’m having the time of my life with Mana, Angie and Penny. We love our little guy so much and he’s so fun.
He is growing like a weed, and his body control and mind are rapidly developing. It’s amazing to watch him think and process the world and then respond to the various forms of stimuli.
He’s amazingly sharp, loves to smile and laugh, and LOVES to be outside in nature as MUCH as possible.
Sometimes Penny takes him on five-mile walks and he’s all in!
Angie recently purchased some bells for Mana’s wrists and feet. Boy does he love those bells! It is great fun to watch him lie on his back and wiggle away as he makes his own musical bell symphony.
I was watching him make his bells dance just the other day, and because it was so hot out, he had his shirt off.
I was amazed to see how developed his abdominal muscles are already. He’s really strong and loves all sorts of exercise. When I take him for walks, he’s facing forward in our little baby harness. I often put my hands under his feet and he’ll do squats repeatedly and stand up straight like he’s so proud he can do that. Great fun.
Penny is a great mother and has a lot of fun with Mana too. Mana loves his long walks with momma-Penny. He also loves to tell her all about his day, which is fun to watch and hear too.
It’s amazing how much love and joy a child can bring to your life, but being ready to be a parent is essential for the well being of all involved.
Kymatica
“Kymatica” is a nicely done DVD expose of the many challenges human beings face due to social programming, corporate and government agendas, and much more.
It goes into how the legal system has been manipulated to turn the “natural person” into a corporation without people realizing what is happening, and why the government has done this.
The video gives a nice explanation of the principle of vibration and how it creates form and life, which is something that most who are unaware of this will find very interesting.
If you haven’t seen it, I suspect it will be quite an awakening for many.
Cathy Carr’s Painting
Cathy Carr’s latest painting is amazing recreations of a rock stack her husband (CHEK Faculty) Donal Carr and I built together a few years back when I was staying with them on a teaching trip to Sydney, Australia.
Though Cathy is a very accomplished artist who often produces amazing mandalas, she has just recently got into acrylic painting, and paintings of this magnitude.
I thought it was great to see how she started with it, and what it ended up looking like when she finished. Her painting feels so real, I feel like I’m pulled back in time and am standing right next to the rock stack.

I hope you’ve enjoyed my blog today and that you are inspired body, mind and spirit.
I hope you enjoy exploring the SASL Cable Push exercise (if you are ready for it).
I look forward to sharing more with you next week.
Love and chi,
Paul Chek
