Last weekend, I was invited to give a keynote presentation at Net Profit Explosion (NPE) Mega Training event in Orlando.
NPE founder Sean Greeley and his team ran an AWESOME conference and I was delighted to share time and connect with an incredible number of amazing, loving and inspired people from Sean’s NPE programs.
My keynote presentation focused on my journey as an entrepreneur and the challenges and lessons I’ve learned along the way. I also shared how living my 4 Doctors philosophy was an essential component in my ability to stay healthy throughout the challenges and the ups and downs of my 32-year career.
Quite unexpectedly, when I got on stage to begin my presentation, as I looked out and saw so many young people in the beginning stages of their journey, I was flooded with emotion. I had tears running down my cheeks. I felt like a wise old owl that already knew just what kind of challenges are in store for them, even for the most well put together! I felt mixed emotions of joy for them, and those of a father who knows what the world is sure to deliver his children.
I shared my life story and accomplishments, some of the major challenges I’ve faced in my career, and others Penny and I have experienced in the development of a worldwide holistic health institution with no corporate funding (and explained why I don’t have corporate funding!).
After I finished my presentation, I had a LONG line of people who wanted me to sign our first printing of The Last 4 Doctors You’ll Ever Need – How To Get Healthy Now! This was quite a surprise for me because we’ve been talking about taking it to hard copy from its ebook format for a few years now, and it just hadn’t happened yet.
Penny let me think I was going to be signing copies of How To Eat, Move and Be Healthy!, so when I saw the new book, I was overjoyed, and very surprised indeed!
Penny and Sean got quite a giggle out of that. (The printed book is not yet available to buy in our store, as this was a special printing for NPE attendees, but you can still buy the multimedia format ebook.)
I really enjoyed signing books and meeting so many amazing people. Several were C.H.E.K trained professionals, so it was lovely to catch up with them and hear more about their lives and their successes with NPE.
I also did a great interview about being successful in business, how to deal with challenges, and on the importance of having a mentor. When asked who my business mentors were, there have been two primary mentors for Penny and me: Tom Campanaro, co-founder of Total Gym, and Sean Greeley, founder of NPE. They have both been invaluable resources for us. The C.H.E.K Institute may not be here if it weren’t for them sharing their wisdom and generosity and supporting us.
My day at NPE concluded with a lovely dinner. I sat next to Sean, and chatted with some inspiring young men at the table. We discussed life, love, martial arts, sex and the Great Spirit. It was an amazing dinner and an amazing time.
Thank you Sean and NPE for one of the most amazing experiences I’ve had as a presenter in my professional life!
I hope you enjoyed my blog today.
Love and chi,
Paul
