Happy Monday to You!
I’ve just finished teaching one of the most exciting and invigorating HLC 2 courses I’ve ever taught! The students were amazing!
Cathy and Donal Carr (www.placeofchi.com) did an amazing job hosting the course and Jo Rushton worked closely with the kitchen to assure our food was excellent. It was!
Here you can see my amazing group of students. I had so much fun healing and growing with them. The energy in the group was invigorating and the silence we shared during our chi practices was healing.
Here you can see us outside on a cold, rainy, windy day. Some of the students were put off by the cold and I showed them that fear of weather often implies that a person’s autonomic nervous system is sluggish.
I am teaching them that if you know how to cultivate your inner-fire with proper breathing and chi cultivation, you can stay warm far more easily, even without covering.
Here you can see me teaching my students how to follow guidance given by their innate biological intelligence.
I’m demonstrating the importance of spinal extension as part of the breathing process; when people loose the ability to move their spine through a full range of motion, the breathing process suffers.
Then fatigue and illness are far more likely because your primary biological pump mechanism is shut down and you stagnate and rot inside; that’s a great way to get fungal and parasite infections! (To get your free report on fungal and parasite infections and be notified of my new DVD program on the same topic, sign up at: www.chekinstitute.com )
Ben Madden, Andrew Cox and I were taking Ben’s challenge to see who could put Ben’s pet rock over their head; Ben’s an Australian Strong Man competitor and he was the first to meet the challenge.
Eventually, Andrew and I both got it over our heads but it was no easy task!
Donal, Cathy, Vidya, Jo and I would meet each evening after class and draw our experience of the day. At the end of class, we shared our art with the students so they could see what they had inspired in each of us. It was great fun.
We had a fantastic tai-chi session. Many of the students committed to their 100 day gongs.
This is the mandala I drew after the course ended to express my inner-vision of the whole course.
When we got back to Sydney yesterday I had to get to the beach to lift some rocks.
Here you can see me next to my creative self-expression and part of my workout yesterday at the beach. I left tired, hungry and with the smile of self-expression on my face.
Here you can see Donal standing next to his afternoon creative self-expression. My second stack of the day is behind him. We had a great time at the beach.
We went to the out-door ocean pool here and as we were swimming, a family of whales came by and were jumping out of the water and putting their giant tails up in the air and waving them.
People were watching from all around. The beauty of their play was breath-taking.
Donal took this lovely photo of our stacks and I couldn’t resist sharing it with you. Hope you can feel our joy and the love of the sun giving us all life.
I hope you all Eat, Move and Be Healthy! today.
Love and chi,
Paul Chek
