Happy Monday To You!

I typically take Friday’s off!at least that was the plan when I asked Vidya to start blocking Fridays so that I could catch up on rest after so many years of constant travel, teaching, people, questions, business affairs!

As it often turns out, there’s just no way I can meet the demands of running the institute and related businesses in just four days a week.

What we do now is only address essential issues that I couldn’t get to during the week and take appointments that we couldn’t create time for any other day on Friday. As it turned out, this Friday was filming day.

My first filming appointment was with Sean Greeley, who specializes in setting up business systems company for health and exercise professionals. Sean’s company, NPE has made the Inc. 500 list twice and he’s well known for helping people significantly increase net profits.

Penny and I are working with Sean to gain as much of his knowledge as we can for the Institute’s well-being, as well as offering his expertise to CHEK Practitioners and all our students. We will share more about that soon.

Sean has also filmed a documentary about people that have achieved significant successes in their life as a means of sharing their wisdom with others. He asked if he could film me and I did a session with him and his crew a couple months ago.

Sean wanted to do a little more filming with me Friday, so that’s how my day began. Friday was our first step toward bringing his business wisdom to the CHEK Practitioners as an offering.

I had a great time with Sean. He’s what I call, “The Real Deal!” We have a lot in common in the way we see the world.

It’s lovely for me to be able to have support from a business expert who actually understand what I do, and appreciates the message I share with people. THANKS SEAN! I’m excited to share your genius with everyone who’s ready to grow a “business.”

Brad Sugar says, “A business is a viable financial entity that makes money without you!anything else is a job.”

I’m really excited to finish my job with your help Sean. Running a private institute without any rich uncle or corporate support is now a walk in the park!

My second film engagement Friday was with the Bandito Brothers. They have been working on a movie of the famous skateboard star Danny Way. This documentary is scheduled to be shown in movie theaters and they’ve been working on it since 2008.

As many of you know, I rehabilitated Danny from a career threatening spinal cord injury when he was 19 (he’s 37 now). Since that time, I have worked with Danny to support him with any aspect of his life he’s needed help with and we have a very supportive, mutually loving relationship.

Danny really wanted to feature me in his movie so I did a film shoot with his film crew a while back. They contacted Vidya and wanted to do more, which we did this Friday.

Though I’ve been filmed countless times, I’ve never acted a part. This was kind of a unique experience for me.

The function of this filming session was to reenact the initial visit Danny had with me when he first came to me 18 years ago after a spinal cord injury while surfing, not skateboarding. . .

Danny pulled up in a car more representative of what he’d have been driving back then. He had is neck brace on again, and he was dressed just like he was then.

They filmed his arrival to the institute, getting out of his car, meeting me at the door, and a reenactment of the first visit, which was quite a scary experience for Danny after having several failed rehab attempts and unrewarding doctors visits.

Here you can see me testing Danny’s weight balance on my computerized scales. This is an essential assessment that is particularly relevant to identifying upper cervical subluxation, which Danny had a sever case of as a result of his injury.

Many years ago, in the beginning of my career, I happened to come across an actual human atlas-axis complex. It had become illegal to sell human bone skeletons because so many people were being killed (in places like India and 3rd world countries) so their skeletons could be sold.

In this photo, you can see me explaining Danny’s injury to him, just as I initially did. Because most people have no idea just how fragile the human upper cervical complex is, I particularly like to show it to athletes in sports where head/neck injuries are common so the can appreciate just how fragile the human head/neck complex is.

Danny and the film crew were pretty blow away when they felt how light and fragile these human bones are.

In this photo, you can see me reenacting the first time I had Danny bring in a skateboard and ride it for me. He was deathly afraid to try and ride his skateboard, even though I actually took him into the underground parking lot below my physical therapy clinic where the concrete was smooth and flat at that time.

He’d been through being a quadriplegic, for two weeks after his injury, then a paraplegic for a while, and by the time he got to me, he had been injured for six months or more.

Danny had no movement in his neck to speak of in any direction and his balance was very poor, even walking. I had watched films of him performing on his skateboard because I needed to have a full understanding of just how demanding the environment he intended to return to was.

Needless to say, the environment was/is EXTREEME!!

I felt it essential to see where he was at so I could have an accurate picture of how long it would take to rehab him, and how to best stage his treatment plan. Danny was literally sweating at the thought of even riding the skateboard on flat, smooth concrete. He got on it and made it about four feet before falling off; I was there to catch him, don’t worry ☺.

This young man was part of the film crew for Danny’s movie. Now and then, Spirit shows me something in a person and asks me to help them.

While I was filming, I happened to look up and felt drawn to this young man’s head. When I looked at him, I saw a black vortex of energy being drawn into his cranium, which I’ve seen many times with head injury patients.

As soon as the cameras stopped rolling, I looked at him and said, “You’ve had a pretty bad brain injury haven’t you”, and I pointed to the region on my head where his injury and said, “right here on the left just above your ear” and his eyes were suddenly white and wide!

He said, “yes, I’m still having problems with it. How’d you know?” I explained that I can see people’s energy fields and sometimes, I feel compelled to share my vision with them so I can help them.

He was elated to know that maybe there was hope for him, because he too had a number of unsuccessful rehab attempts. I took about half an hour after and taught him several methods for healing his injury.

I was glad I could help this lovely young man.

STONEWORK WITH RYAN HUGHES

Ryan Hughes is a retired professional motto-cross racer and a good friend.

Ryan has been the European outdoor motto-cross champion and was a top contender in Super-Cross racing for many years on the professional racing circuit. I was writing programs for Ryan and his beautiful wife Jennifer back in my first institute in La Jolla, CA in 1998.

Ryan has retired from the pro-circuits and became a full time professional racing coach and he lives and uses the CHEK approach very successfully.

Ryan shares a deep love and respect for nature and we get along well. He and his wife are also great artists.

I remember when Ryan came to my first PPS Lesson 1 workshop (How To Find and Live Your Legacy), which was right when he was transitioning out of racing to coaching. He hadn’t done much with art at all, but like so many people that attend this class with me (live, by video, or on-line), the course really opened him and his creative juices began to flow.

I’ve had the great pleasure of watching his art mature over the years. He’s got a beautiful native Indian style of art that reminds me of much of the tribal art I’ve seen.

Ryan’s a strong dude, so I knew he’d be attracted to the big stones. This was the fist time Ryan came to life stones with me, though he’s been coming to visit me for years and seeing what I’ve created.

Our schedules finally met so we could play with stones together. Here you can see Ryan’s fist stack, which is quite big and uniquely Ryan!

While I was working away on my new water charger, which is a big project with a lot of the biggest stones I’ve got, Ryan just kept building away. After he finished the stack you saw above, he put this lovely double-stack up.

Ryan is like a force of Nature in the rock garden. In about three hours, he’d built all the stacks you see in this picture, and before we finished, he’d not only built a couple more, he cleaned up most of the loose stones and made beautiful walk ways around my rock garden! You’re a stud Ryan!

Below you can see my new stone generator (its cone shaped) I built to charge my water. This was an all day project.

As you can see, there are big stones there (some over 350 pounds) and getting those things up above your waist and (gently!) positioning them is far harder than anything you’ll ever do in a gym!

As so often happens, people driving by are amazed at the rock sculptures and want to know more about what we are doing.

This guy and his girlfriend were very interested in how Ryan and I got so “ripped.” “Are you guys so ripped from lifting stones?”!

Well, yes, that and a healthy diet and lifestyle! You can imagine how the rest of that conversation goes!

My whole neighborhood comes by to see what I’m up to and the kids really enjoy visiting too.

Here you can see Ryan and I feeling the energy of my new water charger. You can get a feel for the community of stone Buddhas too. They all have unique personalities.

Here you can see me loading the water charger once I finished building it. Below you can see what the water looks like in the charger.

The energy from the sun and the moon hitting the rocks, which are specifically placed relative to each other, creates a polarity. That polarity causes movement in the water molecules in the bottle, which mimics the movement they would have moving in nature.

Water holds both the charge of cosmic forces, and the information from the stones, soil, and from the star and moonlight. This energy and information is very essential, and nourishing to the human body. That’s why I do it!

Here are a couple photos I took of the light passing through the stones of my water generator as the sun was setting.

This makes it easy for you to see and perceive what I mean when I say, “water charger”. Notice the beautiful geometric forms in the light!

Sunday, I was happy to do a little writing in the morning. Then I came home and put warning signs up so people don’t let dogs and kids into the rock garden and risk getting hurt.

I also built several more stacks. It was a lovely weekend of rest and play for me and I’m happy to be at work and be able to share with you!

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
