Hello!

Well, here we are!today the CHEK Conference begins with an open house here at the CHEK Institute.

There are a variety of activities planned for guests. I will conduct a group workout for people at 12:30pm and will be offering a book signing at 4:15pm as well.

We have many of the CHEK instructors here for a faculty meeting, so it will be nice to see them in person instead of having to communicate by phone.

The actual conference events begin tomorrow morning and I’m very excited to be able to share my new presentations as well as all the other great presenters and their topics. This will be an excellent practical learning opportunity for all who attend and all who purchase the DVD’s of the conference or individual sessions post-conference.

If you are not on the CHEK Institute mailing list and want to be notified of the release of the conference audios and DVD’s, you can register with the institute at www.chekinstitute.com.

I had a lovely day of rest yesterday. Rory and I went to Encinitas for a massage and a steam. Rory got to see Christa, who is an excellent recovery and restoration therapist. I saw Wes Boyce, who is good at finding tensions and lesions as deep down as your bones!

I like a deep massage myself so a little therapeutic pain is a great thing when you have days of relief from training fatigue and stress buildup.

After that, we came home to my house and relaxed in the yard and rock garden. I worked on a piece of art I’ve been slowly progressing on for a week or two now, which is unusual for me. I generally like to start and finish my art projects in one go. This one though, is taking me on a different route. It’s quite simple and mysterious so I’m having fun watching it change each time I add to it. Sounds like life to me!

I will be living at the hotel we are having the conference at so I don’t have to spend an hour in traffic in each direction every day.

Due to the intense daily schedule I’ll be managing, I may not be able to blog personally until after the conference some time but I’ve got some great assistance from Troy Casey who will be a roving videographer to upload candid event happenings throughout the weekend.

We are going to be live webcasting three of the sessions:

Saturday September 3rd 8:30am – 9:45am PDT
Using the CHEK Approach to Flexibility, Stability, Strength and Power for the Elite Level Athlete with Olympian Jade Johnson

Saturday September 3rd 9:45am – 11:15am PDT
Essential Stages for Effectively Actualizing Human Potential with Paul Chek

Sunday September 4th 4:30pm – 5:30pm PDT
50 – Fit – and Free with Paul Chek

I wish all of you peace, well-bing and beautiful days until we connect again.

THANK YOU! to all of you who sent me birthday cards, emails, left me phone messages and sent gifts. There have been so many such offerings that I can’t possibly respond to each and all of them so I hope you all find my expression of gratitude here on my blog.

Love and chi,
Paul Chek
