Did you know some foods just don’t mix well or safely with plant medicines?
Depending on what you’ve been eating, some foods can weaken the effect of some medicines while others can amplify it many times over.
During my traveling days with Penny, I remember a time in Europe between teaching classes when I’d scheduled a ceremony on an off-day in the woods with LSD.
About five hours into the ceremony, I ate an apple then a piece organic smoked lamb sausage. About three to four minutes after eating the sausage, all Hell broke loose for me. My sympathetic nervous system was turned on so hard that I thought I was going to die.
All of it had to do with the chemicals produced from the meat smoking process interacting with the LSD that created such an unexpected and very harmful effect on me.
