Healing Breathing With Sarah CharmoliIt’s tough to heal from the deep emotional pains you feel from a loss in your life, no matter how much time has passed and no matter how much you believe you’re over it

Until you do the emotional work, the pain is merely hiding inside your soul waiting to be addressed. There’s no schedule for completion until you’re ready for it.

When I was learning how to work with plant medicines many years ago, one of things that came up during my work with them was my brother’s suicide.

A lot of years had passed since he died, but during one of those sessions the pain finally showed up with a vengeance. I cried so hard for hours that I felt my body had been beaten up.

Those same sensations arose in me four more times after that plant medicine session. The pain was so intense I thought I was going to die.

Those experiences reminded me I wasn’t in control of the pain (or much else in that moment), but I had good tools to start the healing process.

For facilitator Sarah Charmoli, the gateway to her healing started with a daily breathing practice when her life was upside-down and her father was very ill.

In fact, the Effiji breathwork approach Sarah teaches was so effective for Angie that, the very first time she used it very powerful emotions resurfaced that she thought had been worked through.

In this week’s blog/vlog, Sarah describes the Effiji process of breathing, a fascinating and powerful approach that’s very different from my own techniques yet is very effective.
