The Light Diet With Matt MarucaHappy Monday everyone.

Before you saying anything, YES!!!!, I know it’s been a good while since I’ve actually created a blog/vlog (with Penny’s help filming it).

Despite what you have been hearing from the “medical experts” out there during this pandemic, I’ve been as busy as ever working with clients, doing research on new projects (there’s a lot more to come and I CAN’T WAIT to share more with you!) and creating content for my Living 4D With Paul Chek podcast.

Light up your life

So, let me ask you a question: How much time do you spend outdoors getting the right amount of sunshine you need for your health? For the vast majority of people, it’s not very much…

Americans spent about 87 percent of their days indoors and another 6 percent in their cars, according to this 2001 study. That amounts to less than 90 minutes a day which isn’t very much at all.

There’s all sorts of reasons why we got to this place in our evolving indoor “lifestyle” over the past century. A lot of this can be chalked up to the incredible (ridiculous!) amounts of time we spend staring at our computers and mobile phones day in and day out.

Not to mention, we’re being exposed to artificial indoor lighting that’s no substitute for the full spectrum of natural and healthy light we need for our health.

In many ways, our lives have become far less complex than they probably need to be for our health, yet far more complicated and far less harmonious.

The Light Diet

The Light Diet With Matt MarucaRecently, I spent a day talking to Matt Maruca, an amazingly intelligent entrepreneur given his age (he celebrated his 21st birthday that day we met at our Rainbow House) about the importance of maintaining a healthy light diet on Living 4D.

We cannot live without light. It’s the foundation of everything…

From the sunlight bathing our bodies that produces vitamin D, triggers to the process of photosynthesis that fuels the growth of plants and feeds all living beings on this planet, light really matters.

For this week’s blog/vlog, I want to share this excerpt from our recent conversation where Matt and I talk about eight simple steps anyone can take to improve their relationship with light.

For a guy who just became “legal,” Matt really knows what he’s talking about when it comes to our healthy exposure to light. If you enjoy this excerpt, I hope you’ll spending some time listening to our entire Living 4D conversation and, hopefully, do it outdoors!
